Who You Gonna Call?

Healthcare Resource Group's 'First Responders!'

September, being National Preparedness Month by official Presidential Proclamation, was a very special month for HRG, as we take very seriously the duty of preparation, especially as it relates to the safety and well-being of our employee-owners.

In the proclamation, the president stated “Preparing ourselves to meet the unknown challenges of tomorrow is a duty we all share…”

This is a sentiment HRG couldn’t agree with more. To demonstrate our commitment, HRG asked for volunteers to be trained and certified in First Aid, CPR and AED in the event immediate life saving measures are needed. The response was overwhelming and HRG was flooded with emails of HRG employee-owners volunteering.

The amount that volunteered allowed HRG to choose nine employees, from across all departments, to serve as our first line of preparedness, our own ‘first responders’ in case of emergency on campus.

Veronica Geyer, HRG Coder and HIM Department representative said “the class was an exciting opportunity that really shows how much HRG cares for the welfare of their employees and I’m grateful to have been a part of a great training opportunity.”

HRG would like to thank our nine ‘first responders’ and everyone who volunteered for their eagerness and commitment to keeping HRG employees happy and healthy while at work.  At HRG we believe our strength is in our people, and this is just another great example of how strong HRG is. We are committed to the health and safety of all our employee-owners which is why we continue to be one of the best places to work in health care.
