Founded in 1934, Ocean Beach Hospital is a critical access hospital licensed with 25 inpatient beds. This facility is one of the largest employers in Pacific County, Washington, with staff numbering over 180 people. Operating an active swing bed program as well allows patient rooms to transition between acute care and skilled care seamlessly.

Ocean Beach is a Level IV Trauma, Cardiac Level II, and Level III Stroke Hospital. The organization is a proud member of Washington State Hospital Association and The Rural Collaborative.

Sitka Community Hospital was a licensed Critical Access Hospital with 15 Long Term Care beds. It was owned and operated by the City and Borough of Sitka, AK.

Through the years, they helped generation after generation reach better health. Being a large part of their community was always an important goal, as well as providing health services for the community to depend on.

It was purchased from the City, on 8/1/2019, by Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) and is now integrated into Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center

Columbia Memorial Hospital Case Study

Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) is a full-service, not-for-profit, Level IV Trauma and Critical Access Hospital located in Astoria, Oregon, one of five independent hospitals remaining in the state. CMH offers inpatient suites, emergency department staffed by Oregon Health & Sciences University (OSHU) physicians, a family birthing center, surgical program, full-service lab, radiology, and an adjacent CMH Health & Wellness Pavilion in which is housed their Women’s Center. CMH also runs a satellite urgent care clinic in Warrenton, and along with OHSU provides rural cardiology and telemedicine.
